Verlinden 120mm Super Scale product nr.757
Resin figure parts & plaster base

This is old kit from Verlinden, company that no longer exist, this is one of their earlier figures, made in Belgium in early 90's. It comes with that original camo color box.
There are no air bubbles or any other casting flaws present, mould blocks are quite small compared to some other Verlinden figures, especially on torso parts. Figure has subtle coarse texture on the jacket, imitating wool I imagine. Face has certainly Asiatic features and figure depicts the smaller body size of this race too.
Very nice figure, although a bit raw with the severed head but then again considering the reputation Hun warriors have, not too overdone.

I bought this from Historex Agents about a year ago, it was under 30£, I think prices are going up now as these are not made anymore.

Thank you. Actually I have been a member for some years, but not so active, kind of veered away from this fascinating hobby but now got that spark again and came back.

Yes these older Verlinden figures are still good, much better than some of their newer offerings.

Always a pleasure to see Verlinden figures appear on PF, the casting was excellent and I am happy to say that I have several in my grey army, its just a shame that there will never be any more produced as I seem to remember reading somewhere that the molds have been destroyed.

Agree Terry some were real crackers in the range and some were utter 'turkeys'; especially those figures where their faces always looked like a grinning toothy chimp! It is to be hoped the molds were not destroyed, however there was a heartbreaking photo sometime ago online when he ceased to trade of all Verlinden's dioramas and built models just getting thrown unceremoniously into a large skip. I hope the molds fared better (for some of the range anyway) if anyone knows more?

One of the better Verlinden 120s IMHO. Here's my version that I did a few years ago, painted up pretty much as per the box art, although I ditched the base and did my own groundwork.

Steve that's a nice job, looks like we have some Verlinden fans out there with several popping up on PF recently, perhaps we should get a tread going in figure talk, it would be great to see some of the old figures again.
After looking at the quality casting on the Hun I went online to have a Verlinden trip down memory lane and ended up ordering this little fella from the USA, I had never seen him before and I got it for about £17 including P&P.

Thank You for sharing that Jonathan. I remember those big Lewis Pruneau dioramas, a true artist that man.
