Starting to pick a brush up again after quite a few weeks away, for this next waterloo project ive opted for the CGS bust I picked up at euro in 2016,it depicts a bust from the young guard regiment who fought so valiantly at plancenoit to halt the Prussian advance.
Ive opted to depict a soilder from the Tirailleur Regiment.
The uniform was very similar and identical in some items to the Tiraileur Grenadiers.
During the 100 days the habit veste was worn, these had red collars without piping, the red turnbacks were ornamented with white eagles, pockets were also piped white and red epaulettes were worn.the white chevrons were not worn on the shako and these I removed during construction along with all the cords.
There was no plume worn only a red pom pom.
I have left the sabre briquette in place as the information and references I have both say its not certain if only the NCOs wore them, however I'm not going to worry about this.
Cuffs were pointed red and piped white,i have changed the square cuffs for the pointed version and added a new cockade with pom pom.

sorry, but its not 1815, cause this regiment were the 1812 Barden coat regulation since 1814. look at Coppens books about 1815 campaign

it's not 1815, cause the regiment didn't use such coats even in 1814
or you have information that nobody saw for 200 years? no in museums collections, no Coppens, no Courcell, no RIGO, no Biqua, no Elting, Girbal, Knotel and many many other? ))) read books about uniforms and history before sculpting not to make fantasy figures

Right or Wrong. This ain't the way to go about things. One can only put it down to bad translation.
