WIP 40mm Regiment de Gatenois and Agenais, Yorktown 1781

    I added the mustaches ( the grenadier's signature) layed the base color for the bearfur cap usimg vallejo german cammo black/brown, i painted the base color for the front plate isimg testors gold enamel and added few washes of vallejo sepia, outlimed the details usimg vallejo sepia ink.
    Painted the eyes and added some shades on the faces.
    I layed the purple base color on the lapels using scale 75 sunset purple, i happen to be looking for a vallejo pure.and came acroos this unopened bottle i did not remember i had.
    I love the color!

    Viva la grenadiers I say ....like the way you achieve do much variation on the whites yet they look so right

    Thanks Kev, that is the idea since garments wore of different materials and sources, so , i believe it's gotta be a difference on the color , and wear and tear as well.

    I had one figure that was missing head and fusil, it was originaly a chassueur from another regiment and pit it to use.

    Looking back on the WIP pics the end result of the variation of whites is well ..just great .
