This piece was about 90% completed back in febuary this year and I did post it up,however I didn't get round to putting the finishing touches to it and to be honest it was in my cabinet and I forgot about it,however while doing my paratroopers I decided to finish it up and call it finished.

For those members that didn't see the original posting, the piece depicts a soldier at the time of the French revolution, the bust is produced by Graham Scollick at CGS military Miniatures.

the above picture shows the bust produced by CGS.

However I decided to do quite a bit of conversion work on mine and change the look of it,i decided to add new eppauletes which were sculpted along with a 2nd crossbelt, the bonnet and longer hair was also sculpted and detailed with metal wire for the piping, the water gord was also added with magic sculp, the sabre briquette and musket were extras from my spares box.

Above is the finished conversion before painting.

All painting was done using oils over acrylics in my usual style with weathering added which is important for a soldier of the revolution period.
Below are the final finished pictures of the piece, for the base I added the tricolor colours in a swirl effect which turned out quite well.
Many thanks for looking, hope you enjoy the finished piece.
