    Thanks Kev!.
That line is part of the seam, i've got rid of all the casting lines prior and after i primed the figure, sometimes is hard to see those lines simce i first "polish' the figure to a bright metal, bit some of them are easier to spot omce i prime them.
    Cheers

I have finished the hat, the cords and cockade ( Note the red cockade that symbolize the allegiance to the kingdom of Spain).
I have painted the base xolor for the green using a rather darker green tone and work my way up to a lighter green.
The base color is scale 75 Black forest green... 20170903_162604.jpg 20170903_162612.jpg

Daniel mate this is sterling work.Latin American armies in miniature are a fantastic subject much neglected. As a Greek I have a great love for Latin American subjects.Keep in mind that in Athens we have a square named "Agentina square" where a bronze bust of San Martin stands proudly over the inscription"Argentinian, liberator of nations".In another part of the city there is a full size bronze statue of Santander. You see why as a Greek I have learned to love the great Latin American heroes (and let us not forget that paragon of freedom Simon Bolivar).I totally love what you have done with this figure.I will follow with great interest.

    Hellas Oda!
That is an interesting info, i've never thought you guys woyld have a monument of San Martin there, i discoverd one bust of him when i went to pick my wife to work at downtown Miami, the have a bust of him near a parking lot, when i saw it it filed me with pride.
Since i was akid i admire him, it is our George washington and a thing about him is that , as great as Bivar was, he was not ambitious and he died very poor and humble.
I feel like the miniature world should do more of thede figures related to South and central american Armies, there are a lot of interesting uniforms but i guess it does not cut it for them commercialy.
Anyhow, thanks for your comme ts and always great to have you on my threads

I have finished the musket, painted the base color with ochre, then built up the woodstock color toma dark wood with vallejo smoke.
Just a little note, by 1807 there was a good amount of Brown Bess muskets that were captured from the first British invasion in 1806 and re-used by the defending forces , the standar musket for the Armies and militia was the Spanish musket which i have paint it. 20170907_190126.jpg 20170907_190204.jpg Screenshot_20170907-085032.png

Excellent work Daniel. The miquelet lock mechanism was used extensively on the guns used by the Greeks in the 19th century and during the Greek revolution of 1821.Your documentation and referrence work equal your painting standards.Lovely on all levels.
