Hey Keith, thanks for your advice, i was so happy to finish this chap that i have may overlooked that detail on the drum.
I was looking at other images and illustrations and you are absolutely right, you know i've always appreciate your input and advice, so i went over those cords and correct it.
There is always room for improvement and i like the result, thank you so much :)

I went back and fixed the tone on the cords and increased the whites to create a little bit more contrast as pointed by Keith.

    Hi Daniel
I am not sure that I explained myself very well.
The cords are fine being white or grubby off white. For me I would paint the cords off white too but this is not the tiny area I am badly referring to

This diagram may help me explain where the the skin of the drum that you hit (2) has a wooden hoop that shows below the hoop (1).
So just below where you have painted the red hoop (1) there is a smaller hoop that you painted white. This is the rim of the playing skin (2). This is the piece I would paint the same as the playing area of the drum.
I hope that this helps and I can only say sorry I could no explain better or or just leave your superb work as it was
    apologies
    Keith

Cheers Keith, yes, i have painted the #2 , changed from white to iraqui sand to resemble the skin of the drum , and i watered down to tone the cords to off white using the same color.
Thanks again for the advice :)
