    Hello,

Want to share my review of the new book on Ak's Interactive Learning series of Flesh & Skin Reference / Technique guide.

It's a very well printed book, with great examples of amazing artists and shows a true step by step process both on Acrylics and Oils.

Check it out at Michigan Toy Soldier Store Blog :

Excellent review Julian. With the number of books on the market, it is always useful to get an in depth review before parting with hard earned cash to buy one. Some don't deliver on what they claim to, but this one looks to be first class. Many thanks for alerting us to it.

    Hi Julian,

I would love to buy this book, it looks very informative. Unfortunately, on their website they charge $35 P&P to the UK on top of the$19.99 price of the book!
Do you know if there is a UK distributor?

    Regards, Brian

I just picked this book up at my local hobby shop. It is indeed a very good book featuring not only mixes for different racial skin types, but different painting techniques using acrylics as well. I think it worth the investment.

I tried Sang Eon Lee's planar or hard contrast painting on my King Tiger Commander, not an easy technique but does give great effects, will look for a copy of this book

Have this book as well and love some of the techniques described..
Just a pity the pics from Calvin Tan's story on 'Painting faces with acrylics' look like they've missed a process in the printing stage.
They are certainly not up to par with the rest of the photos in the book
    Just an observation
