Below are some smudgy phone snaps updating the progress of the bust of the Officer 9th East Norfolk Regiment. More details have been added with Magic Sculpt and he now has a hat. I realised the buttons were in pairs, so they had to be moved and he must have the most complex cross belt badge of the period! More cleaning up and finishing to do.

    Hi Rob

What's the hair/ wig like under the scarf ..might be a nice idea to have the scarve away from the back a bit .....just a thought !

Kev, the hair is his own, powdered, rather than a wig. The scarf ends are seperate, he has a queue underneath. I used couple of other Fosten illustrations for reference.

    Cheers Rob ....

It was the word hair that threw me ....lol ........it certainly gives him a rather dandyish look

Will you be building up and adding curls as well to the hair ?

Will this be at Salsbury show on Saturday if you are going

I am not going to say anything nice about this as you did not pick the one I had voted for so I am throwing my toys out of the pram.

    But

If this was the one I voted for I would have to say it is very very nice, I look forward to seeing the finished Bust. As Nap said maybe a little more sideburns.

Can I add as an aside,
The cross belt plate is of a seated Britannia, Hence the nickname The Holy Boys, when the regiment fought in the peninsular war, the Spanish though it was of the Holy virgin Mary, the other story is that the soldiers sold their bibles for beer.
The regimental march is Rule Britannia.
