    Hi to one and all

    Couple of iffypad pics !!

    Frenchie uniform being finished now , bayonet added , no badges done , armband and musicians badge done , stitching done on collar tabs ( numbers to be done! ) ...Oh and medal ribbon painted !!!

    Next up is the scarf and gloves , buttons then the fleshwork , helmet , bottle he will hold , final check ..finsh and then to Billy Bdshop

    Joining the party with J McCudden VC a Hawk Miniatures figure, just blocked out the face, had an issue with the eyes. . . As you do, so they are going to be revisited when it's dried off a bit. I will be glad of any tips on the uniform when that starts as WWI isn't my thing at all. It's already been pointed out he's missing a collar dog :facepalm: So that will be a LOT of fun to do

    Hi everybody

    Bit of an update , not too mch it's been to hot to sit painting ..even in a thong......LOL ....on my French fellow

    ......neck cloth and gloves all done ......

    .....wine bottle (with a 1917 label on it ) painted up ( not secured as I need to paint the flesh ) will probably add a few more highs ..it is actually a lot greener! )

    Works a bit more on uniform colour .... That's it !

    Still to do buttons , numbers on collar tabs fleshwork and helmet so it's getting there !

    On Billy ( no pics! ) started on flesh ..just defining tones then hair and nameplates for both

    Thanks for comment was pleased with gloves , just rehighlighted the bottle again ....tonight it's the buttons and the numbers on collar (285) ...and maybe a start on helmet ...

    Getting there ...like you I did a rather lot of swearing ..even painted the 1st version .....looked at it again ..took it off and resculpted it ..having to paint the collar again ..just loved matching the uniform colour !

    Your collar dog looks good

    Look forward to the medal ribbons from you

    Face is done, bit happier with the eyes but not totally. Uniform is blocked in, can you guys tell me if the colour is ok for the jacket, will probably go lighter on the shirt as it looks too similar to the jacket.

    Well things have progressed on the Frenchie .....

    Helmet all done currentLy working on the fleshwork ...then the hair and then it's back to the flesh on Billy Bishop

    Nameplates all ordered

    Cue iPad pics ...

    Yes it's that time for more iffy iPad pics ......Helmet now done and fitted ...just the fingers to paint and a final check including flesh and uniform tones , then fit hand with the wine bottle , awaiting nameplate .

    Great work. This is a fascinating project and I'm thinking about doing a vignette as a boxed diorama encased in a WWI helmet. Can anyone direct me to a source for WWI figures (British or American) preferably in 75mm? Thanks.
