He looks fantastic still looking so will make further comment later as you know this is the first time I have seen him.
Can you please post some pictures of the cap badge on the side cap.

Just for the viewers Below is the jacket that this bust was modelled on. I chose a Blackthorn Walking stick as they were/ are popular with Irish Regiments but it can easily be re-shaped in to a walking out cane. Note What appears to be cap lines at the front of the facket. The 8th Royal Irish were the only Regiment to have such a design for a patrol Jacket.
