    Hello Planeteers,
This is the 3rd figure iam working on for a little scenette .
This is going to be an Officer of the Carabiniers asit will appear between 1779-1786 Regulation uniform.
The scenette will have this officer and two dragoons, perhaps will add a 4th figure but that will depend on the space i have because of the size of the base.
For now, i am converting a continental officer from Front rank figurines, getting rid of all the possible areas that scream an incorrect shape or item of the uniform.
    Cheers 20170603_215140.jpg 20170603_215924.jpg

Got rid of most of the traces of the continental uniform and start it building the coat.
Finished the stand up collar and rebuilt the coat to join it at the center of the chest and make sure the inverted "V" angle looks rigbt since that will make a huge difference when i built the lapels.
Can't make it too wide, otherwise it will look like a napoleonic coat rather than ancien Regime. 20170604_121455.jpg 20170604_133815.jpg

I finished the basic shape of the lapels, built the fringe epauleette on one side and unfringe epaulette on the other shoulder.
I worked on the shape of the hat as well.... 20170606_202806.jpg 20170606_202814.jpg

Cheers Oda, the easy part it's done, the scary part will be the lace around the lapels and the loops on the button holes, that is the big challenge here :-(

Judging by what I've seen so far,you will not have the slightest problem getting it right.

I primed the figure and now onto applying base colors.
For the coat i am using scale 75 darb blue with a dab of vallejo flat black.
For the lapels and cuffs i am using vallego game gory red.
For the turnbacks i am using vallejo flat red.
I trimmed the edges of the lapels in silver , i done that with the button loops as well simce this is an officer, troopers would have had the same but in white lace trim.
For the vest i am using flat grey from vallejo, as for the pant si am using vallejo khaki. 20170608_230042.jpg 20170608_234719.jpg
