I have almost finished the 'Bleu du Roi' on their coats, i severed the head and waiting for the replaceme t heads to arrive.
Considering that The Gardes Francaises revolt against their king in 1789 i don't feel bad leaving these guys without head for a couple days. ;-)
    Paybacks are a bi..

Hahaha, i am still dissapointed with these guys for betraying their King, but these are from a much earlier times, where they made themselves famous around Fontenoy times and Louis XV was king .
Cheers my friend and always happy to have here

Today i've got the re-enformcement chaps from Front Rank ( Triangle Miniatures in the US).
I have ordered 4 guards and one regular infantry sergeant which i am converting into French guard Sergeant.
The 4 figures will be swiss guards.
As for the French guards, i have 8 troopers from Foundry that i will paint in the color of the French guards..... a8e81848f3f6b36cdb1754554b9dd1d4.jpg f24ea4bf37f16a8fa2020e22efe0d427.jpg FB_IMG_1431800216157.jpg 20170324_002055.jpg 20170324_002100.jpg 20170324_002211.jpg

I have finished the buff belts with white leather edge for the guards, both, swii
Ss and French guards had those buff belts edged in white leather.
As for the sergeant , they had the same lace but in silver lace, as well as silver lace on the edges of the cuffs and pockets..
I added the first lights on its coat.... 20170324_231035.jpg 20170324_231047.jpg

I have been working on this officer from Foundry.
Clipped his head off and replaced by a bold head i bought on ebay, then cutted the top of the head and placed the tricorne hat from Black Hissar minis which comes with the casualties figures as an extra part.
Added the top and back of the wig.
I also modified the jaw on the face to resemble the officer shouting some orders to a trooper.
I love the pose of this figure....
