Hello folks,
Tiday i've receive these Gardes Francaises from Foundry, they will be part of the diorama of the Maison Du Roi.
Perry Brothers dod an amazing job on the sculpt of these chaps.

I have prime the figures usinng self etching primer.
I am laying the base color on the swiss and French guard officers.
For the red coat i am using Citadel Mephiston Red, for the french guards i am using scale 75 Abyssal blue.

I am not very thriled with the faces thou, but lets see how it goes

I clippe the head off from one of the figures, i am really not happy with them, somehow the are full of character but cartoonish.
So i did some surgery and replaced it for one from Front rank, the Foundry figures look like they don't have necks, which i added a little , covered by neck stock.
I have finished the red on the coats, now i am working on the broad silver lace that these Swiss and French guard's officers had.

Coats and lace done, pretty happy with the results...

I still yet to try that NMM , i will probably order a batch.

I have finished the face, part of the hat, the coat, pants and gaiters on these well laced aristocrat officer, shoes, sword and hamds still to be done.
I have noticed none of the figures have the 2 buttons on the back of the coat which still to be added with some brownstuff..

Full of character and virtuosity as usual with your work!
