    Meanwhile, she wanted out...
He is one of the survived Valkyries, often she picks up morons that stay late behind the screen sculpting till morning, and takes them to land of deep sleep :)

Most of the face texturing is visible only in higher contrast and close. That's it, I'm done with this one:

That looks impressive. My only constructive comment would be the cap badge - it looks like a cloth badge, but needs some thickness to it since it is made of metal.

The badge is not metal, but embroidered - i just learned new word in English :)At least I think it is, visible in this pic:

But I forgot that i have currently the wrong version of the badge (see the beginning of this thread), so I have to fix it...

Yup, cap badges are generally metal up to the rank of WO2. WO1 and officers would have a cloth cap badge. But as you can see in the pic, they have a certain "cushioned" appearance.

Ah yes embroided or bullion thread - it is a much heavier thread, but even the construction of it has some thickness to it, as opposed to a cloth or felt badge with regular thread.

The right version of the badge (the one with the sword), and "cushion effect":

Thank You Jack and Eludia for being very helpful !
You might notice that concerning insignia, uniforms and other history stuff I am very ignorant.
That is by the choice, I was scale modeller once, and learned from there that one lifetime is not enough to learn all needed history stuff together with learning scale model techniques.
So I decided to be historical ignorant and learn only sculpting :)

No problem, if only all details could be that easy.

The upper arm shoulder title, I can't find an exact WW2 example, and will have to assume it should be two words, and not just IRISH?

The guards have their own rank badges (pips) as well so make sure you look for Irish guards rank badges. Good luck this is looking great.
