    Hi guys,

Some progress pics of my experiment with monochrome. Still a load to do and needs a suitable base, but it's heading roughly in the right direction! I will post more pics when it is based up.

Painted in acrylics, with sculpt by me!

    Thanks for looking in,

    Steve(y)

    Thanks Scotty(y)

Ive got a length of aluminium bar and a chunk of frosted acrylic to mount it on to keep the monochrome theme...

    Hey Steve,
He definitely doesn't look like he's on a summer vacation . Like the colours, gives the required effect, well done.
    Cheers

Cheers Chris -the whole thing is painted in multiple greys only, with white for highlights - A cop-out really, as I had little reference to the actual colours!(y)

Not a cop-out it's what you do to get the required effects Steve, no rules really. Again a well executed piece.

It's definitely not a cop out,as i painted a 90mm Knight Templar, all in different tones of greys ,and it was received well.
There's no right way or wrong way, just your way,and don't be concerned what other people may think.
    I for one like it.

This is very good. The grey tones fit very well for the subject and definitely not a cop out.

Nice bit of sculpting and evocative painting. Truly looks like he's cold, must be the monochrome painting. Very nice.
