Every now and then on here we have someone that knows the ins and outs of a cats arse, the nit picking gets beyond a joke, someone that likes everyone to know they know everything, personally I get sick of it,I Dion know why I bother.
Tell you what Red Five, why don't you put up or shut up,this is'nt a site for you, you'd be better off on a equestrian website.

Sorry if your offended but I just pointed out something you could so easily correct. Another modeller is working on a similar project on this forum and his has a loose throat lash. The bigger the scale the more detail you can add. I've posted projects online before (not on this forum but I will). I have had errors pointed out and I have either corrected, or acknowledged them and not corrected owing to too much work.

I'll pop something on the forum soon and please feel free to mention anything I do wrong. I wellcome your input.

In the meantime I wish you luck with your wonderful project and look forward to seeing it completed.

I'm the "other modeller" doing a horse head with a bust (Scots Grey)...and it's just shear fluke I noticed in a photo of a horse that the bit that hangs underneath the horses head (throat lash?!) is loose, ???.....To be honest all I know about horses is there are holes at both ends and they fart a lot!
Keep at it Brian I'm really looking forward to see how your work comes together, I know it'll be good as your stuff always is.... crack on mate(y)
    Cheers

    Hi Smudger ,
Just been reading about the Horse 's head your modelling .Before I moved up north ,I was born and bred in Newmarket. Racing town full of horse 's ,mostly race horses.
I know they are not the size of a military horse , but they are roughly the same over all. Yes the tack is different in some ways .
So at the end of the day ,they are never going to be the same . So what I' m trying to get at ,is how you see the horse in your eye' s . If your happy with the end result , to me that is all that counts.
As you said " It is a modelling site ".
Keep up the good work .
You can please some of the people some of the time , but not all the people all of the time.

Yes I do get offended with silly pointless coments,I can't point out if you do anything wrong because you don't post anything.
Yes jim is doing the charging horse with the scots grey, that may be a horses head position which shows the lash clearly hanging free,in my horse head the pose is different and the tack will be have different round the throat lash.
I'm happy with where I'm at and I won't be changing no matter how simple you may feel it is.

Great work jim,all I was trying to point out to our friend red 5 was the lash will appear different depending on the pose of the horses head,

Finally thank you Barrie,I was beginning to lose my sanity,I'm working to some photographs I have and yes the tack is never going to be the same,in the photos I have and pictures I've worked to the lash appears snug against the neck and that's how I've modelled it,why can't people just see that,I'm losing the will to live

    Hi Smudger ,
Gald you liked my comments . I know I will never be as good a painter/ modeller as a lot that are out there. I do it as a hobby plus enjoyment I get from it . That's what it is a hobby ,plus thanks to " White Rose Model Soldier Club ," Leeds ,great bunch of lads .
You keep at it ,do as you want ,as long as you are pleased with the end result that's all that counts.
So as for (losing the will to live ) B*******s !.
    Barrie (Newbee)
    P. S. remember to sign off this time ! HAPPY CHRISTMAS .
