    Hi Gordon,
Thanks for the praise, I'm glad your liking it. Never thought you were into these 1/16th scale things ;)
    Cheers

I've decided to again change the size of the front plate, it was to small and will also be adding more 'fur' around it as well as filling in gaps and dips of the bearskin, so the shape will again slightly change, I'm not far off with the head.

I think I'm just about there, unless I decide I'm not
I've done the front plate now and also more fur, being reasonably happy with the eagle.[IMG]
    Cheers

    Hi Nap,
Many thanks for your thoughts, I'm feeling reasonably comfortable at this stage, not wanting to sound cocky. The part that I'm now worrying about is starting the body and those damn folds and creases in the clothes
    Regards
    Chris.

Actually it's probably the rest of it that I'm worrying about.

Updates of the body, just laying down some milliput to fill out a bit more then I'm thinking greenstuff over the top.[IMG]

Another post of trying to roughly gauge where buttons and straps will eventually go, not sure if this is a good technique but I'm sort doing the same if I were to draw something. [IMG]

I'd caution you about the left leg going too wide. The drawing depicts equal weight, but left leg dominant would be nice in this pose. If you stick with the left as weight bearing, it needs to be underneath him, more in the center. If you want equal weight between the two, you should spread the feet more.

    Hi,
Thanks for pointing this out, I wasn't paying enough attention to this as I was layering on the clays and putties. I've corrected this as you can see, I think its improved the visuals. I've also added the fabulous Reedies Charleville, certianly adds to it even at this early stage.

    Hi,
Just a mini update, adjusted stance again and then added more milliput, will have to move the operation into house as the garage is hitting almost 50°c in the afternoons and trying to juggle the Christmas madness and doing this in the heat is definitely a challenge.

Just another update, laid on some greenstuff for the shoes, re-did the grenade and trying out an idea for the buttons. I did a mix of Milliput and GS, rolled it out thinly onto grease proof/baking paper and will let cure. I then have an 18gauge blunt needle and will try and use to punch out the buttons, wish me luck.[IMG]
