    Hello Planeteers,
I am working on a figure i received from Front rank a couple of weeks ago, it is a mounted continental officer waving his hat.
I have a pending to receive order of 3 other mounted figures and realized i have order this figure again, so, problem solved and conberting this continental to a Commisaire de guerre ( war Commissar).
They were not an active fighting force but they were in charge of supervicing and enforcing the king's will on the battlefield.
Their uniform.was somewhat "antique" compare to the newer tight fit wear of the newer regulations.
The coat was of a blue-grey color with scarlet cuffs, vest and troussers.
The lace was gold all around.

And this is the original figure,
On the conversion, the Commisaire will be handing orders to an artillery officer.
I already clipped off his right arm and place it in a lowered position .

I primed the figure with the usual self etchimg primer .
I lay the base color using those 3 paint bottles to achieve the grey -blue coat.
For the red on the vest and pant i've use vallejo game gory red, for the cuffs i've used vallejo flat red.

I have finished the coat , just few touch ups here and there maybe but virtually done.
    Next step is the reds....
As for the lace, still some more details to work on 20161208_000558.jpg 20161208_000614.jpg 20161208_000627.jpg
