    Hello folks,
Here is another figure from trident designs.
The figure is and Aide-de -camp and it is based on the one who served Rochambeau, later he'll become Marechal Berthier under Napoleon.
I have glued the horse together, fixed the lines between the 2 halves and added a little bit more "cloth" to the already existing small one on the horse.
The hat was slightly touched up.

Wow Daniel you are a painting factory.
This is a super figure. The fine detail looks to be very crisp and as our good friend Kevin says his uniform is a cracker.
I'm looking forward to see your work on this fellow.
    Cheers

I have finished the blue coat and painted the base color for the gold lace.

I finished the coat and lace today, still some areas for touch ups but virtually done.
As for the lace, a painstaking process, i've use testors gold enamel as base, which is a bright light gold, once dried up i had a "bright moment" in which occurs to me to add a dab of yellow ink to my sepia wash that i apply to all of my gold metals.
The result is amazing, ot yellowed the gold lace withna nice shine.

Yes Alan, it was just a spare of the moment me thinking what should i use to bring that light gold lace to a more real lace looking , and then i saw the yellw ink and gave it a try.

I have used a base color of vallejo german grey , vallejo blue-grey and a dab of GW adeptus battlegrey.
Wash it entirely with reaper black wash with a dab of vallejo pale grey.
Once dried up, i start it the dry brush with base color with more grey-blue added to the mix 20160918_124558.jpg 20160918_124614.jpg
