This now the completed WIP for the Amati camel rider.

I used Scale 75 Thar brown straight from the bottle for the base colour of the tunic, trying for a slightly bleached effect. the jacket was then filtered with a dark brown to try and bring all the colours, contrasts and tones together....which I'm happy with.

Just some browns added for the shadows and then german camo black for the deepest shadows.
The lights were pale sand added. I tried for some reflections of the khaki onto the Shemagh and also filtered some other colours such as red brown on places.

The leather was Vallejo red leather and then filtered with black, brown and sienna inks.

This was pleasure albeit a wee bit rough sculpting in places.

    See what you think,

    Thanks for the comments guys.

    Hi Nap,

The person commissioning the bust provided excellent details about the uniform.
    The decorations are as follows
The green edging white bars and middle red colour is the star of Italy colonial order. The blue and white is the War merit cross and the green and noticeably absent because I've forgotten to paint them white bars is the army long service cross.
The shoulder boards identify him as a lieutenant (2 stars) from his former regiment which is lancers. The sleeve badge is a light horse emblem.
