    Hi all,
I've been nosing around for a week or two and decided to sign up.
I've been a military modeler for about 40 years, on and off. Mainly 1/72 aircraft and 1/35 armour.
Unfortunately, my figure painting leaves a lot to be desired. So I reckoned what better place to get some tips and advice.
I paint all my kits with acrylics, but I'm looking to pick up some tips on using oils for my figures.
    Well, here's hoping!

    Regards,
    Paddy.

    Thanks for the welcome guys.

Dan, my main interest is WWII but more recently I've taken a interest in the Napoleonic period.

Well...I'll be big about it and forgive you this time. There seems to be a real resurgence in Napoleonics recently.

If you're interested in color in uniforms, check out the 1914 to 1915 period of WW1. Folks made themselves excellent targets.

    All the best,
    Dan

Paddy it is so good to see you turning from all those horrendous grey and green things to the man's world of Napoleonics when men were men and cut a dash.
Like Star Trek's Borg you will all be assimilated,
It may as well be now mate ;) :).
Welcome to the forum and I hope you enjoy.

Welcome. Enjoy what you do, and learn what is useful to you. Many arena's can be covered. Don't give up on vehicles/aircraft etc. Just use the figure to bring them to life.

    Regards,

    Mark
