    Hi Guys ,

    Update ..???

DISASTER........the sword doesn't fit in properly ..not enough gap so thinking of either

1 Just have him with the waist belt and the sash ( I have took off the rounded backing so he looks like the picture...not closeness to the window! )

    2 Resculpt the straps again

3 Sob profusely whilst banging my head against the wall ...OR

    4. Open the window and throw it against a brick wall !

    Questions......

1 is the belt with the backing piece and the small buckle (for the fittings to go on )

    2. could he be depicted in this order of dress not wearing the sword with the forage cap

In other words what's the belt look like without the sword being attached ...HELP me !!!!

    A , B or C ??????

I think it would be wrong not to wear his sword as he is in a tunic order.
can you try moving it back a tad. would that help.
    Mick
Ps A pic showing the problem may help.

Bugger ........I have tried moving it back in all positions including in front , still does not look good or work , the gap between the arm is too close and certainly not going to move arm!

Kev I hate to say this...... but I think your only option IS to remove the arm attach the sword assembly and replace the arm behind the sword.
I don't think it would look natural any other way.
    so sorry buddy.

Or leave the sword off !

Maybe put the sword facing forward in front

Hang on a minute, I haven't worn one I know, but don't they slope forward slightly, hilt back an scabbard slightly forward and down?
That would put the arm forward of the hilt?
    Would that work?

    Paul.

The sword has to go in this position.
You could angle the hilt back lifting the point of the sword up.
    Or Off comes the arm.

    Thanks guys

The Arm stays !...J...I have not got enough Valium !

What I am going to do is move the half moon back a bit more , take a pill, and then put straps back on , take another pill , ...and we should be okay ..with the sword in place !

No guardsman s going to get the better of me ...even Mr Mott

    Stay tuned !

    Update ,

Knocked the sash end off!!...?.bit of a blessing in disguise really as it gave me better access ....

    Now reworked the sash ...

Built up new sword and all straps ...letting it go off over night ...then it's the backing piece

Repaint as needed ...Valium at the ready !

Dryfit backing piece ...if ok ( hopefully) then dryfit the sword ...if ok ( praying !!!) then paint

    Reconfirm uniform colour etc

    ........I am getting there !
