    Hi Brian,
Just absolutely love it, fantastic. My only small gripe would be going by the photo as the reference that the asengi blade is broader on the sculpt in comparison. I'm really looking forward to the update Brian.
    All the best
    Chris.

Hi Chris, many thanks for your coments, the blade in the photo is at an angle mate,if I turned the kit one it would'nt sit flush on the post,James booth has turned it slightly which gives the impression that the blade is thin, the asengi blade would be as the kit one is.(y)

    Hi Brian,
Ok I stand corrected and not blaming anyone, I do believe that they can be long and narrow, but they can also vary as well. Thanks for the reply and like I said looking forward on the progress of the figure.
    Regards
    Chris.

Hi Chris I have seen narrow ones as well,i will thin it down a little,in the photo,he has his right elbow lifted so the blade is digging into the post,I forgot to do this and on mine I have made the elbow level, which now means I can't dig the blade point into the post,so I'm going to have to have it flush, cocked up there.
By thinning it down it will look better on the post, thanks for pointing it out to me (y)

I'd love to get my hands on one of these (assegai), it would go well with the shield in the lounge, I think it's near impossible to get one though. :(

I'd like to think I am, but no. My wife got me a full size shield with the knobkerrie and spear. I would say the spear is of a very poor quality in comparrison to the shield and knob. And apart from them a statue that's all I have from there. I have done some illustrations and of course there's the verlinden 24th foot figure I did last year. I would love the assegai and a martini but even if I got the rifle, trying to convince the boss to mount it on the wall would be impossible.

Just finished filling in some rough areas and have base coated the face in GW cadian fleshtone,i will start to lay in the oil colours tomorrow,i just needed to added a rough patch of red round the rhight shoulder, as I did some filling there and wanted to make sure it was smooth enough once I started to paint the jacket.

This was my first serious attempt at a figure. I modified it, used green stuff and also first time use of acrylics as well. I'm hoping to get to somewhere near the standard that a lot of you guys are at.

Brian, you've really captured Hook's cheeky and rebellious character in that look. I have no doubt when its finished it will be a winner.
