Completed Germanicus (Soldiers, 54mm)

    Hi all, this is my first Roman figure by Adriano Laruccia - the sculpting is amazing, especially the armour. I hope to paint more of his Roman figures in the future! As usual, I used Vallejo and Andrea acrylics. The pot is from El Viejo Dragon, and the plant is photo-etched.

    Very well painted and presented.
    Having had the good fortune to see a few of Dr. Mike Thomas' superb Roman figures, your figure would not look out of place among them.

    If you do the shading on his right leg so dark, why don't you that on his left leg.

    Hi Marc, it's because of the angle of the legs - his left leg is bent, so the thigh is lighter and below the knee is darker.
