I've tried using Jason's stippling technique on a couple of busts recently and it really is hard work, but the results are undeniably good.
Jason has clearly mastered this technique, whereas I still feel like I'm applying paint with a roller brush by comparison.
There was a time when I studied Cartacci and Ruina and aspired to paint like them, but Mr Zhou is my new master.
