    Hi Kevin and Jimbo,

Wow, what a great idea. Jim you have a done a great job in converting these busts and Kevin what a superb job you have made of that old air raid warden Really good. It is so nice to see some unsung heroes being portrayed for a change and the scenic base too adds a lot of interest. I especially like the small but very poignant dolly in the rubble.
I really look forward to seeing how this project ends up.

As you say Jimbo did a great job converting the busts as well as a cracking bit of work on the base .

Cheers for the comment about the Warden , the fireman is 75% completed

I agree about the unsung heroes words being portrayed , I thought the doll added a little extra bit a of interest showing that children also were involved.

I will post more pics when I can

Painting Update ......Spent nearly 2 hours finishing the helmet badge off , neckcloth repainted and weathered , hair/ helmet/ strap etc all completed

Uniform tommorow then the gasmask bag ..final check over then it's onto the lady ..

    Thanks for looking in

    Hi Guys ,

I am having a very productive session......

Fireman is now finished , particularly pleased with him as I wanted it to look right not only as I know its something close to Jimbo's heart but also to all firemen past, present and future.

The tunic was a very very dark blue/black ,the red tabs on the epaulettes denote a leading fireman as does the single band round the helmet .

The badge is all freehand and it too a "little" while....NFS in the middle with this also on the buttons .

Gas mask bag has the name Evans and a fire related number ( Jimbo's fire service actually) , the number is also under the helmet in red as in a reference .

    Now doing the lady ......

Really pleased with the face work , pics look a little washed out it looks a lot better ! , lips all done ...eyebrows to add , working on the Auburn hair now

    Hi Kev
The Fireman's come out really well,He looks right to me, nice & grubby and a cracking job on the helmet badge mate,I see you've painted him up as a London region going by the 34 on the helmet, looks good, the female starting to look good too, I just hope your not sat in front of a mirror with red lipstick on trying to model for yourself Ha!

    Cheers Jim,

Wanted him to look grubby etc .......went for the "34" as the warden has Putney on his badge so will have to think of a suitable London area for the name badge on the lady

As for the mirror and lipstick ..I would gave been but forgot to collect them from you .....

    Up date on the lady...

    Flesh and hair all finished

All badges outlined ..details to be done

Gasmask strap and lanyard as well as a solid basecoating for the uniform

They look great together but with your base ..well I can't wait to see them in situ
