    Hello Planeteers

Managed to finish another one. It is a Trumpeter des Dromedary-regiment 1801-1802 from E.K. Castings. It comes in one piece as you see it, no assembling needed. Cleaned off some moldlines,
and hollowing the trumpet, is the only thing I have done besides painting it. Very nice miniature, great details, especially considering the price. It is mainly painted in oils.
    Please fell free to comment.

    A lovely piece Brian.

You have brought out the essence of the figure beautifully.

These figures are charming and undervalued by many. I hope you get time to paint the drummers,
    they are terrific too.

I also have some of these, and I too think that they are underrated. This is also one of my favorites. Well Done!

Thank you very much to all of you, it's really nice to receive your kind words, it makes me forget the hassle I went through, at a point I thought I'd never finish it.

    Just one question:
    What about the size ?
Are E.K. Castings figures real 54 mm or much more ?
    Thank you for your answers

Well Alain, the size is 58mm to the eyes on the ones I have, only one is 56mm out of the 11 figures I have. So it would be fair to say that they are 58mm to be correct. :)

I have many of them and I too think they are undervalued and underrated. If EK castings was-let's say-an Italian or Spanish company and marketed its figures in boxes and in many pieces it would be very well known, but since it is Russian and its figures come in single castings it has rather escaped the community's attention.Shame though for they have some remarkable pieces.

Thank you very much Edorta for the nice words, I am really flattered :) You are so right, I think to that the figure is based on that picture. I used the picture to get an idea of what colours to use. I had a tuff time finishing it, but I am very happy with it. Looking forward to see your version of it :)

    Cheers Brian
