Very nice work Vincenzo and a very interesting subject. (y) Are you going to do more from this period of Italian history? It would be nice to see some more.

Vincenzo you are absolutely correct on both accounts.I have most of the commercial 54mm late medieval and rennaisance Italian subjects. It is one of my most favourite topics and eras.I was absolutely mortified when I found out that EMI had closed, they used to produce so many great Italian subjects.I am especially fond of the condottieri and La Meridiana's OOP Malatesta and Montefeltro are among the best figures produced ever.I'd like to hear your thoughts on the subject.

Completely agreed with you. It is very difficoult to find very good subject for such a period (with the exception of landsknechts) so often it is necessary to work on them. Vincenzo sculpts very intersting subjects following an accurate historical research. Cheers
    Francesco

PS. Some old medieval EMI subjects are still available here http://www.lafortezzamilano.com/ES/cat.php?id_cat=&limite1=660

I go often through la fortezza's stock in order to buy old EMI pieces.I agree with on the rest.

    Hi!
Here a little new advance in figure painting... nows the time of a "schioppetto" and a "targoniere" from Sigismondo Malatesta army
The araldic colours is the some of Federico, but with another colour scheme.
The corsage colour is taken from Hesperis.

As a Greek I have a liking for Sigismondo Malatesta. He invaded the Pelloponese only to rescue the bones of the great neoplatonic philosopher Georgios Gemistos Plethon ( Greece at the time was enslaved to the Ottoman empire).I also share with the rest of the Greeks a unique shame as it was the Greek brigade which as a part of the allied forces in WWII took part in the bombarding of Rimini, leading to the destruction of many of Rimini's Malatestan monuments. His early 20th century descendant,Enrico, was a noted anarchist who wrote a book on violence as a transformig factor of society.A great man in his own right.Luckily I was fortunate enough to have acquired La Meridiana's mounted 54mm figure of Sigismondo.
