Having just finished the 2 allied Waterloo busts,I am now undertaking a first in my Modeling career,for this next project I plan to complete the CGS 200mm full figure of the imperial guard eagle bearer.
I had to put this on hold while I completed the other 2 busts.
The piece itself is a chunk of resin,beautifully cast by graham and sculpted by Carl,these pictures I have added only show the early stages of assembly and test fitting,I still have to fill some areas which I will do on my next sitting.
I painted the half version of this for my busterama last year and it's such an emotional piece and one I'm looking forward to,having the full version in my cabinet.
I can't reiterate how beautiful this piece is,it's like holding a piece of history in your hands,I can't recommend this piece highly enough,in all the napoleonic pieces I've painted over the last 25 years,it's by far my favourite piece.

Hi Brian..I totally agree with all your comments....its a beautiful piece and cannot recommend highly enough....I particularly like the tweak with the left hand....mine is primed ready to go as well....regards Mike unfortunately I'm being dragged off to Spain this weekend

With the legs under it, this will be a giant.
