.....it is a great bust it's a project , as I said I wanted to work to a particular reference so taking the bull by the horns ..off I went ..burning the early hours light !!

Thanks for your comment glad you like the details ....your father really deserved his legion , Dupin was just provably in the right place at the right time and got away with living ....bit of a rogue ..despite the medals !


Enjoying this even more now paints on him , going to probably add a bi more decoration under the sombrero and maybe the.rim ..but by painting effects .

Made a start on the face ...not too much to do ..I love the beard !

Sombrero ..went originally for a blue ....didn't like it so it's now a Lt brown base colour !... It should be good Moz did a good job on the decoration underneath ...umming about adding any more .....

Might do the sash stripes as in right hand picture ...

Here is what he sort of looks like now!

Finally managed to get some pictures , the face is all done as well as the underside of the sombrero the decoration was originally all flowery...looked a bit ...well sort of not right ......so now NMM gold , cigar complete , shopping completed !!!..

currently working on the band around the brim..



looks a lot better in real life !!!
