Thank you dude your enthusiasm is wonderful.
Everyone of us has probably been inspired by a great model/modeller, wether it's a large scene, or single figure. Sometimes the world doesn't know them, but as you wrote that you know you will never forget that scene.
I'm making this for selfish reasons but if it gives someone a kick start to their efforts, well that's cool too.
thanks for contributing to this thread.

    Next weekend?

That's a bit harsh there Superchippy.

That would have been a bit like me saying:-
"get back to your lentils ya cheapskate".

I should have the coach finished next weekend and I'm trying to get all the carriage harness and tack done as well.
I should set targets for myself now I think.
I've been painting all the fittings tonight.
So, once I have painted Napoleon's famously
abandoned hat and sword I can glue 'em inside and close
    everything up.
The glazing is all ready to install in the coachlamps and windows using an adhesive new to me.....
    'G-S HYPO CEMENT'
labelled 'a pinpoint precision cement for jewelry beading hobbies watch crystals optics and industrial applications' and made in Rochester USA.

Mine was from www.smartmodels.co.uk and they sell it for glazing in their card railway scenic buildings.

I really think it is kick starting a lot of us to dig out projects, gather parets etc. Historex has sttod the test of time and is still magical in it's own special way.

    Cheers

Thanks for checking in big guy, I appreciate your support.

I have looked and looked and checked all my references but cannot see where the iNgobamokosi regiment stood in the line, so I'm thinking maybe behind the coach I could put an iNduna of the umCijo regiment walking away with dignity.
I don't think anyome would dare challenge that for validity could they? :)

A bit late on this thread but I'm really impressed.
By the way, I remember the work of JC Léger with Historex parts and when I was a boy (I still am, I mean "when I was young" :p ) I had the magazine "Uniformes" showing the diorama... I dreamed about it every night ......
But definitley, what you are doing here is fantastic..... and couragous (be brave !!!)
Hope to see it in flesh at Euromilitaire (any chance ?)
Will follow this with interest !
    Good work ! (y)

Not yet but I am progressing.

I have had a couple of distractions in terma of personal stuff that's all out of the way now, and I am having to put some effort and time in differing directions but will be back on track in a couple of weeks I think.
I am still in love wulith the project and cannot wait to show you all some more....please keep the faith.
