Hello, here are a couple of pics of a figure I've recently finished. I am getting more and more interested in medieval subjects and wanted to have a go a painting a figure wearing lots of armour. He is wearing Italian-type armour from mid-15th century. According to Adalbertus, the figure represents a mercenary knight from Poland, Bohemia or Germany in the Thirteen Years War. The only change I made was to add a bit of length to his beard.

The armour was painted using a base coat of Vallejo natural steel, shaded with natural steel and controlled washes of black and a small amount of brown. Highlights were with silver and Scale75 metallic white, which is very useful I find.

    Hope you like it!

Lovely job of work that Edward. Also not a figure I've seen before, and that armour looks fantastic.

good work! I like armour very much, but it date about 1450/1480 italian style... it's impossible 30th years war.
have you made it for Adalbertus brand?

Very nice bit of painting and presentation. The armour looks very realistic.
    Vincenzo,
The war is the 13 Years War (1454 - 66).

Beautiful work on the armour and on the chainmail. I have only a little suggestion, the leather at the time were kept greased in order to be more flexible so you can paint it as to be almost new.
Hope you will not be upset for this little suggestion and also appreciate my very congratulations for your work
    Cheers
