Hi to all, here are the first steps of the painting work I am doing with this original, scratch built figure created by our mate, Dan Morton. I am painting it, as a commissioned work, and this is the third I´m painting from this amazing collection dedicated to the 1WW.
All painted using acrylics. All comments welcome.

Superb! I'm awe-struck about how you painted the rugs! Everything looks just right to me!

Now that is amazing. The rugs are fantastic but I've a simpler question - what colours did you use for the camel?

    Cheers

Nice job, Eduardo. The camel is beautifully painted, and I particularly love the fine work you've done on the rugs (y)

Thank you very much, friends. For the rugs, I use as model a pair of pics that Dan sent me.
The color of the camel is a mixture of ocher, brown, black and white, adding a lot of washes using more ocher and white each time.
Just a moment ago I made the reins and rings. I use tin sheet to make the two reins, that are fixed to a pair of rings, fixed at the same time, to the rein under the chin of the camel.
I made the rings, using the wire of a notebook, because it is malleable, but very strong.

    Excellent work Eduardo!

As the others said, the camel is fantastic, but the rugs are just superb.

The scout is looking great, Eduardo!! I like the face, the hat and the shirt particularly. He looks like a tough guy! May I suggest a little more suntan?

    All the best,
    Dan

Thank you Dan. The skin tones are darker than it seems, I took the photos with an only closer spotlight.

Gosh - you work so fast!! There's not one thing less than perfect as far as I can see, Eduardo! I'm eager to be able to see it here in Omaha.

    All the best,
    Dan
