    Many thanks mark,if I could give you any advice,then I would say stick with it and keep trying mate,it's a fabulous medium for faces,when I started using oils in 1986 I too struggled at first,but I stuck with it and I'm reasonably happy with the results I get,I say reasonably because there are so many different variations of colours to use when painting faces,and I'm still learning
