Added a raw umber ink glaze to the face to offset the pink of the Life Colour flesh set. So far I have the following inks on his face: sepia, purple, raw umber, red, brick red, sky blue.

Sepia glaze on the irises of his eyes - but eyes aren't done yet.

@ Bob - Painted the highs of his hair with Liquitex Pro acrylics - burnt sienna lightened with Naples yellow. Then washed with Burnt umber (same brand). Next steps are to lighten the highlights selectively with burnt sienna and increasing amounts of N Yellow.

Added several inks to his hair alternating with highlighting; burnt sienna and naples yellow. Pelisse undercoated.

    Niiiiice!!!!

The layers of inks has really given the flesh tones great depth and smooth transitions... probably your best skin tones to date. The red hair (not at all easy) looks spot on as well.
In the selfie pic he looks to have fallen right off your own family tree ;)

Following along as usual. Hope you make it to the meeting Sunday.

Thanks Colin. Won't make it sadly as Mrs Fras had already booked a social for Sunday eve. No negotiating room after going to Chicago LOL.

I might add more lights and darks as he is very large scale but you get the idea. Cheers

    Very, very nice.
That's one of the best painted faces I've seen in quite a while.

    Cheers,

Thanks Andrew. One reason the face looks nice is the blending effect of shooting the iPad in low light.

Blocked in the uniform's underlayers. More work on hair to tone down the dark recesses. Still need to highlight it more too.
