    Hello,

I bought this figure at Euro this year, excellent figure, does anyone know what colour the trousers and gaiters are, some sources show it as White but the boxart shows it as reddish brown, will either colour scheme be authentic? (I don't know much about this period).

I know this post is somewhat rich coming from a scotsman:)

    Any info would be appreciated.

    Hi davey ,

I would say please yoursel, big man.

    For this reason.

The box art is taken from this don troianni illustration

But there's other illustrations showing white overalls

Maybe if you google some gerry embleton illustrations for other variants.

Assuming it's the same H&V kit I saw at euro ?
Hope this is of some help

    Hi, Davey,
As Paul has said either way. But in 1782 they were stationed in North America Not returning to the UK until 1790. So being in N America buck skin gaiters seems very plausible .

    Paul & Mick,

Thanks for the quick replies, the info you have provided is very helpful indeed, I could kick myself for not thinking about buckskin, I have painted a few Native Americans in the past and still have a few to do, it must be true " Age doesn't come itself"

    Will look up gerry embelton.

    Thanks again for Your help
