Mick, don't incite him to put tar on it :LOL:. Good decision Kev, take the time to enjoy it (y), And by Euro next year, you'll have Lovatt AND Blondie Hassler :).

    Hi Guys ,

Thought I would share my black period on Lovat , all primed ready to base coat , cant see too much !!!...all will become clearer as this progresses !!!

the parts on sticks will be added when painted ...pistol, binos, knofe, grenade

Also a shot of the rifle with the Ammo pouches added onto stock , did he have this ..cant find any ref but hey live life on the edge that's me ...and it adds a bit more of a focus on the weapon itself ...more details ie stitching etc will be added when painting .

On the opposite side I replaced the sling ( nothing wrong really with the cast version) and added a swivel and buckle on appropriate end.

off for a coffee !!and get my wet palette ready

    Thanks for looking in

    Cheers Mick

After spending all day carefully getting some sort of uniform base I think the little bit of colour would look good so they will be added once all my water solvable washes have totally dried in the morning

Thanks for input ..rather glad it went this way ...never did make it easy for myself!

Did you add the medal ribbons, cant see as the hand is in the way. Looks great though as it stands. ( even though it has no legs) Nice job.
