If you have a criticism and you refer it to relevant source that's fine ,but if you come on this site, knowing full well that you won't get your problem solved, that's what i call moaning.
I've had my say, and still reckon there's too many moaners, except a few guys who have used a wee bit of common sense, and i've now got to the stage where i'm pissing in the wind, and getting bored,so that's the last i'll contribute to this particular thread.Catch up with you guys on other topics.

Hi all sort of kept out of it after my first post., but thought I would chip in. Lets get this right Ellie's Miniatures will not attend next year but will the year after 2017. it was a dissension made after much thought. we are a small company with a small range and very specialized. (franco Prussian War) we are expanding periods in the future and feel that once our range is bigger then we will take our place back at Euro again.

Yes I said I thought the tables were too expensive and I stand by that, (But I'm a Yorkshireman) our hotel well it's the Clifton stayed their for years no change just somewhere to lay the old head. I will be their next year but as a punter I have been going to Euro for 26 years good times and bad. but my decision not to trade next year is business nothing more. We will be doing other shows as I have said and a couple in Europe just to get our name out their. we my do well we may not but I'm willing to give that a go we can't do it all but I think it will help to grow the business base.

I love the crack in the south cliff with Moz, Carl, Brian, Davey, Roland, Gar, and the Lads from the white rose club it's something I look forward to ( even the hangover) but I think Euro has to change if it is to survive you can't survive on past glories.

Yes have to say that a show in the north is being looked into at the Royal Armories, it's not in direct competition to Euro ( not everyone goes to Euro). it's not to force a divide between north and south it's just a show to put on the calendar. and if it's a hit then it will stay on the calendar.

I have been to shows all over the world and have been lucky to visit some wonderful places, and have to say you do see the difference, but not everyone has the opportunity to see that.

As to the moaning all I see is people saying what their experience of Euro was this year we are all entitled to say how we feel, you are never going to please everyone. I along with others from the white rose have booked in the Clifton for next year as we always do when we leave.

Hi Moz mate I thought I saw Roland with that Girl on the Friday night he said he was helping her out of a sticky spot. great to see you mate hope the weekend did not take too much out of you. Ho And thanks for doing a great job on the Brothers in Arms vignette great job mate.

    Cheers

    Ian

I changed hotels this year,I stayed at the Carlton which did'nt seem too bad, cleaner than the southcliffe, anyway,I only want somewhere to sleep and have breakfast and then it's off to the show,it's such a shame that some of these classic old Victorian buildings are now decaying and starting to show their age, this place must have been something special in Victoria's time, however I would'nt want it moved,Folkestone is Euro and it's a great show with great people,I would like to see the napoleonic re-enactors could back though with their cannons outside the leas,I used to love this.

Obviously asking directions to the best modelshow ..........Reckon she would enjoy it ..great flesh tones as well.......

Euro ..my final comment ...needs a little TLC , can't do much about hotels in reality guys so book them or somewhere outside of Funky Folkstone and travel in daily park in large parking place about 500 m from Leas ....

See you all next year with RP models

PS Anyone know why the reenactors stopped ?they were great

As one of the smallest companies trading at Euro this year I found I achieved exactly wha t I wanted for Elan13 Miniatures. I met customers face to face, raised the profile of the company and some money changed hands.
This year I thought there were more independent manufacturers than in recent years offering great variety. There was a good buzz, especially on Saturday and the quantity and quality in the competition was excellent. Everyone I spoke to was having a good time and had bought stuff that they were very pleased with.
There's no comparison between Telford and Euro, for a trader like myself there might be 10 times the footfall at Telford but less than 10% are interested in figures whereas at Euro everyone is. One post above mentioned the possibility of making Euro a one day show. As a judge who didn't finish my judging duties until 8:15 on Saturday night I'm not sure how that would work.
I did attend Euro number one and things have changed, but that's to be expected. It's still a great show and my stand and hotel room are booked for next year.

Brian if I don't go I'll save the fuel to get there too. In fact I could take in the Camberley show as well which is on the same day.

    "The Horror .... The Horror"

A seriously terrible idea. I absolutely believe that would kill off the show within the space of 3 years tops.

I (and I would wager a lot of other regulars) go specifically because it's a whole weekend experience. That's one of its greatest strengths, along with its international nature. It's a large part of what makes Euro "Euro".

Would traders from Italy, Spain, Poland, Greece etc. bother travelling all the way to Folkestone just to pitch up a stand for a day? Would the Scottish contingent bother making the trek down? You'd have to ask them of course, but I suspect probably not.
