Finally, the painting of the basic figure is done. Now the real work begins. I'll go back over all of the lace again and ensure that I have the correct values and that each piece is outlined. This is what I like to call "finishing the figure." I still need to weather the entire figure. The battle occurred in the Spring of 1811 in Spain. So it will have a nice dusty affect to it. As I stated earlier I am a creature of habit. I usually finish the figure off with metals. In this case the figure will have pewter buttons and each of those will have to be outlined. Certain pieces off equipment will have brass. The detail work is what makes the Nappy such a popular figure. I should be able to post an update in a couple of days with the figure attached to the base.
