They, or should it be it?, are/is really superb. Competition or no competition, the fact that you can create art has to be one of the best feelings there is.

I feel this flag debate will go on for a long time,200 years ago,can we really be sure what flags were used at Waterloo,I read somewhere recently that the guard never carried flags at Waterloo, the debate will go on I feel

Your work honours the memory of those heroes. I am such a huge fan of this vignette............and I don't 'do' busts!
    Great, Brian, just great.

Many thanks Al for your continued support for this project,I am a huge Waterloo fan and the imperial guard is probably my favourite part of the French army,I attempted to do a similar thing in the mid 80s using converted Historex figures but just never got round to finishing the piece, however I will be finishing this one :)

I managed to finish my Chasseurs a Pied dio earlier this year, using Historex, Andrea, Beneito, some Belgian Manufacturer, Le Cimier/Leibovitz[Cambronne] and a liberal sprinkling of First Legion, slightly repainted. Scratch-built some fallen bods. I'm going to try to post up some pictures, eventually. Got to try and work out some depth of field with our camera!

    Cheers, Alan

Wow, Smudger: This is really incredibly beautiful work.
The agony of the major battles in the Napoleonic Era is
so much in view here. I'm now reading Bernard Cornwell's
Waterloo, and your images really brought home the terrible
nightmare of war and horrible waste of human lives. However,
your work in just exceptional and I wish you well with this
    project. Rick
