Killer paint job. Excellent sculpt. But only if you want a bust of Tom Cruise, I guess.

    Excellent work all around...... (y)

What can I say....wonderful sculpt, wonderful paint, completely wasted on yet another portrait of a movie star...and Nuts already has a very good bust of Cruise in the role. And at least they threw in a portrait of the real man too.

And Stauffenberg did not wear a greatcoat at Wolfschanze on July 20.....it was freaking boiling!

    Excellent paintwork and sculpting indeed.

Colin probably has a better view on this, but shouldn't the bag be a bit bulkier? There was something more in it than paper...
Of course, This could be the guy on some other (cold and rainy) day than July 20th, but when I hear Stauffenberg I think 'bomb' (and Tom Cruise unfortunately).

Thanks everybody for comments. I guess bust based on the screenshots from the middle part of movie where too far from 20th July.

I couldn't put it better if I tried.

Let's remember that Stauffenberg wasn't trying to assassinate Hitler as he was anti-Nazi but rather as traditional officers didn't want to lose the war.

Kind of funny that I associate Scientology with nazis...

Excellent sculpt and painting work. I love the painting technique, colors and fidelity to the portrait, but as others said, I prefer the historical character than the cinematographic, Claus Von Cruise.

Kirill - I owe you an apology as I thought this was the new release announcement when I commented on it. You did a wonderful job on the bust and I should not have trashed the product in your thread. My main area of historical interest is the July plot so when I see a portrait if CvS and it's TC my emotions can run unchecked.

I won't bother commenting on the announcement unless someone has an accuracy comment or question.

Adrian - the briefcase looks OK to me. The colour is right and CvS had a standard foldover top briefcase with top handle. Only the top part is shown here. It would not have been too bulky especially at the top as all it contained was a spare shirt, some briefing notes for his presentation to Hitler, a pair of customized pliers (until they were taken by von Haeften once the bomb was armed), and a plastic bomb roughly the size of a hardcover book. Would have been best if he had got the second bomb in too - one of the great what ifs of history.

Superb painting - really adds to the likeness modelled on the sculpting.
