This was and still must be a great reference and resource for all modeller/painterss.

I was chatting with Mike davidson the other year about the very same item
    at Sword and lance.

Great product, and also a fine company sadly missed

    Thanks for sharing Martin.

What happened to their moulds? They made some very interesting WW1 figures and had a nice set of characterful heads handy for any conversion project, all in my favorite 1/24 scale.

I only bought the kilts originaly, the ones that turned up the morning (very quickly) seam to be exactly the same. You could frame them:)

I strongly recommend nobody do that (frame them) as these high quality prints become faded by daylight!. A must to have that always must be stored carefuly (a pvc cover sheet is enough). Of course, get the original ones if you can as they're still the best and amazing source of information for tartans and trews.

I'm sorry not to have replied to this point back in the Summer Kev, I was probably pulling your leg on another thread, but, two thoughts occur to me.

Firstly, with all your years of model making surely you can paint any tartan by memory now
with your eyes shut like the rest of us?

Secondly what use are they to a man who's models stop at the top hem of a kilt or trews ?

Chips:- yum do them blindfolded too

    Wimpey: duh yeah !

Tartan vest: naah. Usually barbed wire ....we're all desperate mcdan's oop north sonny !

This conversation proves what I've always said.
There's a definate need for tartan decals, in
    1/35th 1/32nd 1/30th 1/24th and 1/16th scale, any bigger than that you can weave it anyway ! :) :D

Sorry I didn't reply earlier kev, been making stuff with legs.

    Paul.
