Reading the forums was just too much, I had to escape my gardening chores, and put together something from one my favorite inspirations. The Edouard Detaille paintings of captured flags. I also read a thread about Mounted Sappers, so here is what I have come up with. What do you think?

    Steve and Colin.
I thought I would show my support, consensus and approval of proper
model making, (ie: Napoleonics rule), with a more appropriate Avatar
Looking forward to more of this

    Love to see some Historex.

Only suggestion is that his head looks a little far 'round given his straight ahead shoulders :)

Yeah D-O, I agonized over how far I could turn the head. The torso is the Historex spare torso that is twisted to the left and I wanted a dramatic Head toss, so I put on a jacket with epaulettes( Yeah I got one of those) and twisted my head as far as could and photoed it, and my chin came to the outside corner of the epaulette, so thats where I put it. Also, I was daunted about the flag, Ive never had good results with that. So I found "The Flag Guy" on Google and I sent him a photo of what I wanted, He did it that day and was perfect for what I wanted. Highly Recommended!

Looking good so far, a very good action pose full of life should paint up very well indeed.
