Agree with all the previous comments. It's a great diorama with lots of attention to detail. Very much fun to look at and the longer I look, the more detail I find. Excellent work.

What more could I add than what has already been said?
Perhaps just in a different kind of wording? Obviously,
Sir you are a master artist. Just the rendering of those trees
alone are just incredible. This is another example, IMHO,
of works that show up here at PF from time to time, that
raise the hobby to an Art Form. And this is truly a WORK
of ART. And the photographs are excellent. Great lighting.
Contratulations to you, Sir . . . I'm sure this took some time
    to create.

    Nice work Dan
I am working on the same layout, again inspired by those two modellers and now a third......... you
Dan did you find the German guy with the pistol a lot larger than the other 2 having a smoke. When they are side by side there is a huge difference.
John's dio is one I also like and when I got those three figures I felt the one with the pistol much larger so I didn't want to put them to close together.
The landscape/levels in these dios make for good viewing and also gives more room to place stuff. I really love the tress and been trying to find these branches everywhere, is there a shop that sells them?

Great work and awesome painting on each figure
    Well done!!!!

Yes he is on the large side but the actual dude that this figure is a portrait of was a big dude as well. It's good to have different size figs in the same grouping, makes for realism. Just make sure their gear is the same ie: helmets, weapons webb gear, shit like that. For the trees, try the scenic factory.

Hi mario. The figures are mix of Warriors, miniart, corpus, verlinden, mantis, airborne and dragon. All are modified to some extent. The trees are from a company called the scenic factory. They are basically kits
In their own right but i also made modification to those as well to suit my needs. Thanks!

    Bloody awesome Dan!!!

Jeez that is some incredible work, and like all your dio's, there is no simplification on any piece, every single piece is treated just like a stand alone model.

    Brilliant work!

    Cheer's,
    Jeff.

That is an outstanding diorama, very realistic. One point though, shouldn't there be a lot of snow on the ground/trees given it was the Bulge?

Actually surprisingly no. At that time, and that area not much snow at all. More wet than anything.
