Just posting my WIP on this bust from Graham at CGS,it's only about 60% finished but I'm trying to get it done ready for the BMSS nationals.
A beautiful piece of sculpting by Carl Reid with great movement and very good Casting by Graham,I added a couple of sword cuts to the helmet and opened up the seems down the jackets right side and right shoulder,I also added a tear created by a sword cut or thrust during the heat of battle, some blood stain has been added but I will work more on this shortly, there are lots of little touch ups to be completed and I will do another session on the helmets hair mane,I plan to display this with my scots grey trumpeter at the nationals.

All painting was done in oils over acrylic colours,I will add some light weathering once all painting is complete.

PS the guard project is still on-going but it was always my plan to get these 2 british cavalry busts completed first

Having trouble loading pictures, they will follow shortly

    Hi Brian,
Cracking start mate, I just love and admire your style of painting. As we would expect the usual little tweaks that just add that little bit more uniqueness(y).
    cheers
