Generally, I am a great admirer of La Meridiana figures, but, I don't know about this one. Does anybody else think the Indian looks somewhat "insect-like?" And the scene itself seems weird--like the Frenchman is just strolling through the woods and looks up thinking "something is not right here, but I cannot put my finger on it. . . merde!"

I see a small section of an ambush of a French patrol.
The Native's eyes might look a bit big but that can be repaired with paint. The Frenchman could look a bit more surprised and less annoyed... but all that being said, I think it's a very interesting and dynamic scene.

Excellent action in the Indian...he's just about flying! Great groundwork and tree. The Frenchman looks like Inspecteur Closseau of the Surete , wondering if the Indian has a lee-saunce for that hetch-it. Or perhaps, "Not now, Magwa, you foolish red man!" If he were turned at the waist with the musket posed to ward off the attack, he'd work much better. Also, without the Indian, it looks as if he's about to walk into the water.

Everything looks great except the composition.
The Frenchman doesn't see him because we know how sneaky those Injuns are........um, I mean..... Native Americans are masters of stealth.

I'm thinking the Frenchie may have been a stand alone fig that was thrust into this scene. Absolutely, a slight turn on the torso to the right and the musket raised a touch and maybe painting him a little ''wide eyed" would help the whole scene turn the corner. Or to consider Bob's thought, it could be the split second before he sees the ambush and gets a new part in his hair.

Wish it was a 1/32 but this is a must have for me.Haven't seen the Frenchmen before,must be coming out later.

As this is a thread for manufacturers to advertise their products, I just thought that we should be grateful that these small manufacturers are still around.
The diorama scene is very well made.

Doesn't do it for me, either, although the scenery is top class. Would be good if the Frenchie was available separately.

Despite dynamic figure, scene lacks dynamism. I agree with what has been said above.

Even slightly bending french man's back away from assailant would do the trick. Or even making him look away, as if unaware, also would work.

At the moment its "am I bovvered?"
