    Hi Brian,
What a lovely piece of modelling, you said you are a slow modeller, well here is crux of the problem, if this is finished for the Sword & Lance and you turn up at the door to put this in the modelling section, it's getting confiscated at the door.:censored::cautious::ROFLMAO::troll:

If it's going in the bust section then I personally show you where to enter mate.(y)

Seriously though mate, I can't wait to see you put your stamp on this with the paints. You have a lot of support behind you on here and very well deserved in my opinion.
    cheers
    Richie

Continuing on from my last post,i decided to start on my 6th and final bust conversion, for this bust the basis of it was going to be the stormtroopers 3rd rgt - Buffs
    la garde recule 013.JPG

I wanted a bust which would depict the aggression of a soldier in defence of his colour, however I don't plan to use the colour because that's already sorted with the CGS bust, some sanding and filing were required to remove the details and new ones would be added with magic-sculp to represent an imperial guard officer, instead of the busts right arm holding the colour,it would now show the right hand clutching his left upper arm having received a wound, the left arm will be holding a sword which I plan to complete in the next few sittings.

Also for this bust I wanted a barehead,so I added the hair from magic-sculp and detailed with a sewing needle in a pin-vice,no alterations were nessassary for the face as it has the perfect expression I wanted.

All buttons and epaulettes were also added with magic-sculp

Many thanks kev for your comments mate,to raise the head would have meant a lot more cutting and filling which I didn't want to do,however I quite like the position,it dosent look as down in the flesh,i've ordered another one off stu as I still want to paint the original, its coming along nw though (y)
