Hi you don't remember the Napoleonic drummer of Latorre......?? :
Years ago I was reminded of this idea, and I asked Vincent Alberici allamico to do a conversion and turn it into a medieval drum. Stayed in the drawer until now, for a variety of reasons: laziness, earlier to painting commissions, work ect ect. This year I decided to pull it out and paint it, because it celebrates Agincourt 1415..... : mrgreen: here are some pics ... ciao from Luca

Very nice painting. Love how you done the shadows and highlights. One question, not a criticism, how is he holding the drum? It looks like the hand is on the skin of the drum.

I was thinking the same thing about the drum Luca. Nonetheless, this is a lovely piece, and I truly like your style !
