    Good evening!

    Thank you, Tinseltown. :)

Ok, so we can proceed now. I have been busy last weekend and worked a bit on the dragon.

After an ivory basecoat over the yet unpainted areas...

... I washed those ivory areas with some thinned down layers of paint.

So, slowly everything is coming together now.
    More next time

    Hello!

Well, before it's getting "boring" here, I'd rather like to add a few more images to the topic.
I started to "scatter" some small photo etched ferns all over the base. As you can see here they are "growing" on the small stone head now:

While doing so, I noticed, I might need to prepare some more foliage to increase the realism on the base a bit further, so I also painted up these small plants over the weekend.
They are sold as "rhubarb" for a much smaller train scale (1:160), but I think they will do a perfect job on my dragonbase.

As always thanks for watching and all comments and/or questions are welcome.
    Cheers

Hello and a happy new year to you all!

Well, just before christmas I decided to "plant" all the foliage I had prepaired for the base. So, here are the latest images:

I need to "grow" some gras bushes inbetween now, to bind it all together.

Well, more next time. As allways, thank you for watching and for every comment/critique/input you might want to make.
    Regards

    Hello!

While not too much has happened here, I want to post some new "beautyshots" of the almost finished dragon.

And I also continued with "growing" the base, by putting up some grass tufts.

    As allways, to be continued...

    Hello again!

Here's some small progress done the past weekend. I prepared a few tiny HO scale injection plastic flowers from BUSCH for the base. BUSCH has a very nice range of tiny flowers that can be used for our purposes. These are roses and dalhia.

More soon. Thanks for following me here.

    Awesome :)

Bar the dragon, the vignette strongly reminds me of a Czech cartoon about a mole we used to watch as kids :ROFLMAO: vegetation is so similar in style and colors

    Hi there!

Thank you, pgarri27! It's nice if I can share some of my knowledge to the benefit of hobby fellows. ;)

Hmmm, interesting, Gaudin, honestly I never saw it his way. Well, not sure if you noticed that there actually IS a mole in this scenen?
I watched and loved this cartoon as a kid, too, and I guess it did have some influence on me. I like to sculpt the occasional mole into my scenes, if the theme allows for it.

Well, as allways, more to follow next time.
    Cheers

Yep, noticed the mole, that's how the whole thing came together in my mind :D Subliminal messages, straight from childhood :)

I have only one question other than the craft paints what kind of paints did you use on this diorama ?

    Hello!

A good question. Well, I actually only use hobby and miniature acrylic paints from different brands. That's mostly old Ral Partha Paints and Vallejo Paints, besides the craft paints.
    Did this answer your question?

I hope you realize that the company that makes Rap Partha paints does not exist any more so what do you use ?

Oh, sorry, just now noticed your question. Yeah, sure there are no more RP paints around anymore. But I've been using a lot of other craft paints for long years, so there is actually no state of emergency on that side. ;)

Btw. I have finished the dragon now and here are some more beautyshots for you all:
