    Hello planeteers,
another one of these great old figures on my bench.
In this case, i painting an officer with flag of the German Regiment in French Service , Royal Hesse Darmstadt.
in 1786 until 1791, this regiment had blue coat and orange facings on the collar, lapels and cuffs.
    Cheers

    Nice figure Daniel.
The flag looks as though it will test your new flag making skills.
    Good luck Mate.

    Thanks Keith and Huw.
I have still yet to buy the cooper sheet and cut it and shape it.
For now i will concentrate on the figure, and leave the "good stuff" for later :)

Living where I do, it would be bad form to use anything other than the foil from a Champaign bottle Daniel.
    Salute,

Hhaaha..i bet you have quite a collection my friend.
I have been taking all of the foils from every bottle of Argentine Malbec we drink, i am starting to make a collection my self but not big enough to make the flag, but very useful for other stuff.

    Hi Daniel,
I will try some Malbec if I ever get to painting some 15mm flag bearing figures.

I decided to do something different on the pants and vest this time, rather than my usual deck tan and stone grey, i am going slightly to the colder whites.
So i am using a mix of vallejo panzer Aces white german tanker and a dab of neutral grey.

    It looks really good Daniel.
It's a very brave thing to do when you move away from a proven mix of paint that works so well as yours did.
    Well done.
    Cheers,

Thanks Keith, the fact that the coat is a different color than white makes that choice a little easier.

Yesterday i went to Home Depot to get something for the house and i had a bright Mc Giver moment and saw a pipe they use for the roof, don't know exactly for but is made out of Lead and i will put it to use.

Ps: i love some of the US warning labels.

I have cut it and sanded a little since the lead sheet is a little thick but it will work great.
